Betina Lou

A classic, fitted, feminine style…

think “sexy secretary”.

Since the very beginning, Betina Lou has been offering simple and timeless ready-to-wear pieces. Every season, one can find classic wardrobe staples along with more detailed confections. With high quality standards and an everlasting inspiration drawn from the icons of the past, Betina Lou has truly created a mark of its own. A tribute to vintage, Betina Lou’s designs are rooted in a philosophy of longevity, where clothes can last since they are conceived in a spirit mixing modernity and tradition.

Betina Lou’s Spring Summer 2012 collection takes place somewhere on a Normandy seashore, during a sunny afternoon. Between the beach huts and the sea slowly reaching the sand, a warm wind fills up the air and reveals a delicate and feminine collection. Marked with precision, classical and precise cuts, the looks of Betina Lou are various : A line, pencil and circular skirts, easy to wear tank-tops, lavallière blouses and all-occasion dresses. The fabrics are light to appreciate the warm weather: cotton chino, knitted linen, cotton and silk blends, Oeko-Tex certified dobby and super fine worsted wool. With designs in solid colors easy to pair with the summer patterns (dots, stripes and plaid), the color palette recalls the authenticity and richness of universal tints. Navy, blue and ivory remind us of boat excursions while mocha, espresso and khaki draw from the heritage trend. A touch of vivid red makes an appearance this season in the Betina Lou catalog, a little treat that surely goes nicely with the rest of the collection.

Made in Montreal, the collections are cut in quality fabrics imported from Italy, England, Germany and Japan. Launched in 2009, the line quickly reached an enviable place in the fashion industry and is now distributed in almost 20 carefully selected stockists across Canada, the United States and Hong Kong.
