BETINA LOU | Fall 12 Collection
October 3, 2012

Inspired by British tradition, Betina Lou presents its eighth collection…
The new Fall-Winter collection holds true to the spirit of the label with classic, ready-to-wear clothing, pairing chino skirts with plaid blouses and practical cardigans. The designer has collaborated with a knitwear specialist for the first time to create three garments made of Italian merino wool and assembled in Montreal. The bias-cut is also featured this season, providing a familiar comfort and softness. With a humble homage to England and its preppy persona, the collection’s 25 pieces were premiered last February during the 22nd edition of Montreal Fashion Week.
Conserving the delicacy the line has been known for since its debut, the collection takes classics from the male wardrobe and reinterprets them for women, inspired by a dark yet warm colour palette. Black, dark blue and grey are the dominant colours this season, paired with ochre, ivory and brick red. The pieces give a definite “back to school” feel that will make you want to spend hours at the library.
